The inaugural World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals in Shenzhen, China in 2019 were followed successfully in 2021 in Oerias, Portugal following the postponement from 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The third edition of the WRBSF will take place alongside the World Rowing Coastal Championships in 2022 in the coastal village of Saundersfoot.
